The Carving Studio & Sculpture Center is a non-profit organization located in West Rutland, Vermont that offers workshops, residencies, exhibitions, and events for people of all ages interested in creating three-dimensional art. With over 35 years of experience, the center provides instruction and dialogue in various sculptural media such as stone, metal, wood, clay, and more. They offer workshops taught by professional artists and craftsmen from around the world and provide a safe environment with tools and assistance for participants. The center also hosts artist residencies where selected artists can create new sculptures and build community through cultural exchange. The sculpture created by residents is exhibited on the historic marble quarry site and sold to collectors. In addition to workshops and residencies, the Carving Studio & Sculpture Center features a sculpture garden, on-site gallery, and Quarry Store where artwork by resident artists and instructors can be purchased.
